FETCH Book launch

I had my first ever book launch for my 40th book.
I feel a bit uncomfortable selling my books to friends, but with the super wine waiter (my son, who even got tips)loads of fizz (Thank you Orchard books) and the finger buffet I hope folk had a good time!
I opened up my studio for people to have a nose around too.

Still no work..a tad scary, I'm chatting to a publisher about this new book idea...
Hope I get offered a contract soon.

Mr Muffin's Newsstand

I'm slowly, (too slowly for my liking as I have energy sapping Bronchitis) painting up "Fetch". Here's a detail of the Parisian inspired newsstand where Fetch helps out, but he refuses to delver Cat's World magazine. The blank daily news board will have text on it about the mystery of the town's missing socks! This has to be supplied separately as black lettering, so it can be translated into other languages. x

Rough drawings for my new book

Here's a couple of roughs for FETCH. I do small thumbnail roughs first, then same size ones, as shown here. Then I get feedback from the editor and designer, then I can start to paint it up. To be published by Orchard books 2012,

I'm very excited about this as it's a story I've written, rather than the traditional rhymes with a twist that I normally do.
And the artwork is a little different too.

Bears are coming to Dartington.
