That is such an beautiful bird! I'm constantly delighted and surprised by how beautiful and whimsical birds are. Are woodpeckers quite as loud as they are depicted in Australian TV shows? I bet you probably wonder the same thing about Kookaburras, but I regret to inform the world that we hardly ever hear them! When we do, though, it strikes a very patriotic chord in me! Take care.
