Nature

Doesn't try and sell me anything.
The moon is from my book,'Goodnight Moon' out with Templar publishing in July.
(which is something you can buy, I'm aware of the paradox!)

I can feel it

Spring might almost be here! The smells are changing, the buds are beginning to appear....

From the top: Photo of a birthday card I made for my super kind and talented friend Jane Foster.
(She displayed it next to Picasso)
My painted acorns, a Rex Ray and Mark Jesset's (Another creative in my home town) SPLASH of colour.
My brother and I got lost on a long walk on Dartmoor, somewhere north of Postbridge. Mostly in the sun (with a mini sleet blizzard at the end)

Heaven in Devon

I live on the edge of Dartmoor national park. I am so in Love with the place!
The views, the big skies, the granite tors, the ever changing beauty and the peace.
I try and get up there most days with my lovely dog, Carna.
It is my happy place and reset button.
The coast is not too far a drive too. I am so so grateful for living in such a paradise!

Blog post overdue, overload.

I have not posted on here all summer.
Here's a catch up.
Happy days...busy creating new book ideas, settling into our fantastic new home,
a visit to the Edinburgh fringe festival (No miracles by Nathan Coley.)
and re-sculpturing a disney prince and princesses!...

And being outside as much as possible, playing on Dartmoor and camping by the sea.
I hope you all had a great summer(or indeed winter) too.

Dartmoor
Carna and I got lost yesterday afternoon on Dartmoor...
I like to walk without a map and just find my way except...
we ended up at a Grand Hall where a pack of scary angry dogs chased us away.
I stayed calm.(just)
More moor pics here.

I started the weekend with a visit to a vintage and craft fair and couldn't resist this book
and a wonderful painted pebble by Sarah Strachan
Then I took my painted tiger (see below) and went to a circus party in the wilds of Dartmoor.
We slept in a trailer with a view and I was so very happy in the giraffe costume I made which kept me warm and moved rather well on the dance floor!
